There is no way in my opinion that we will ever see Hamilton in the Ferrari.

I wouldn't say never. But not now. It would be unthinkable.

If Ferrari lose Alonso (and it will be a huge loss) then they wont have a big name driver. Cant see Vettel or Hamilton filling that void either.

Why does he have to visit the factory to buy a Ferrari? Just order it like every ****er else!

<laugh> This is Lewis H.A.M Hamilton, he is not your average Joe as we have seen a multitude of times this and past seasons that have gone by! Speaking of Nicole, it's a bit cringy/beggar-like when he promotes her(music) on his Twitter and Facebook, I mean it's not like she's an up and coming talent...

A lot of the people who buy those car usually go to the factory and get some personal specs and probably customize some areas of the car to suit them... Sometimes they go to chose the material and colour to cover seats and make certain changes to seating etc. If I were to spend that sort of money on a car I would want to be there to go through that with the people at the factory too so when I take control of the vehicle it is totally to my satisfaction......wouldnt you?

Hamilton is too arrogant to think Rosberg is a better driver, so no reason to leave Mercedes (not intended to be an insult).

According to La Gazzetta, he went to Maranello to buy a LaFerrari.

Loaf of bollocks, people who go to the factory just want additional attention. I know loads of people who have paid well over six figures for a supercar, personalised it through options at their local dealer/distributer and then waited the X amount of weeks for delivery!

Smithers.... If that's true, and they aren't buying used super cars, then you truly mingle with far more affluent folks than the rest of us peons. But if I had six figures to spend on a motor, I'd want to be damn sure it was exactly what I wanted. I wouldn't spend five figures (or any number for that matter) of my hard earned cash on a car that I hadn't taken for a spin or negotiatited on. Six figures.... I'd want it to wipe my backside.

If you are buying a supercar from porsche, Ferrari, Audi, Merc (can't speak for Lambo) you don't have to visit the factory to order. You go in, place your order with your lengthy list of spec and pay your money. They don't even deliver it for you, you have to collect it.

On the other side I wasn't aware that he was purchasing a limited addition model with a waiting list and a price tag of over 1 million - if he is he's an even bigger knob for wasting it on her! However, he would be up against far richer and notable Ferrari clients if that's the case.

Sgt - I agree, I would find it hard to pay sell that money for a car without a spin but that's not how it works. If you are a genuine buyer you would test drive a stock car not the one you ordered.

If I was ever in the position to order such a car, and was given the chance to collect it from the factory (presumably with a factory tour thrown in), I'd be there like a shot.

Who wouldn't want to see how a supercar is built?

The Nurburgring have announced they have a long term deal to host the german GP. Hockenheim are furious as they have been left in the cold by Ecclestone!

Well part of the fury from Hockenheim is that they have a contract with BE to alternate the german grand prix with Nurb until 2018. Bernie is pissing off more Germans Then. He might as well have a season ticket at the German high courts.

You'd have thought he might try and be friendly to them with the position he finds himself him!

Oh no, not Bernie 'soon i'll be dead so I'm going to have my fun now' Ecclestone.
