I think that says null vs null on account of SKY not having picked their game for the Sunday yet

December is gonna kill us. Early season looks fine. We'll probably do well at first and then capitulate again come december.

Two away games, then Chelsea, Arsenal, Mackems, ManU, Everton

And later ManU, Everton, Arsenal and mackems.

Scuse me but what the f**k? Before every derby there's a nice run of 3-4 games we're guaranteed to lose. Sickening. Bull**** fixtures list if I've ever seen one. Utter complete ****e.

At least if we're in trouble at the end of the season there's 4 potentially winnable games there. But also if we were safe there's 4 games that we won't try for and just be served the usual dross.

Have I mentioned yet that this fixture list is ****?

That's a tough start if you consider we might well **** up in the away games. Finish is alright; I just hope we're not left needing too many points from those games.

Late November to early December isn't too bad. I'd like to be on 20-25 points by Christmas.

Potentially, last 5 games, all winnable. So if we are in a dog fight, it helps we haven’t got any of the top 7. I am obviously being optimistic though.

I'll say - you're assuming we're not already relegated with 7 to go. With an injured Cisse as our only striker, it's not looking good. I read somewhere that we have got rid of 26 goals worth of players. Without them we'd have already gone down this year and thanks to the "transfer policy" we're not exactly guaranteed to see 26 goals from those we bring in. If indeed we bring anybody in.

Any game is winnable man, just look at our run in last season, we were dead and buried, with some of the top teams to play. The rest is history.

    From nufc.com

    Champions up first

Newcastle's 2014/15 Premier League season will open with a home fixture against Champions Manchester City. United started last season against City but the opener was a Monday night fixture at the Etihad.

Our season starter will see our eighth attempt to beat City at St. James' Park in the Premier League since a 1-0 victory in 2005.

The season finishes with a visit from West Ham after what initially looks like a kind end to the season. After home games against Spurs and Swansea the Magpies visit Leicester and QPR with West Bromwich Albion and West Ham providing our final home opposition.

The derby fixtures see the unwashed visit Tyneside on December 20th while our visit to the dark place will be on April 4th.

Boxing Day will see us travel to Old Trafford while New Years Day has new boys Burnley scheduled to visit Tyneside.

The midweek trip to Turf Moor on December 2nd will see our Premier League debut at that venue and become the 52nd different ground we've played on in the Premier League.

The Clarets will be the 45th club we've faced and United haven't played them competitively since the 1982/83 season, although we did visit Burnley for a pre-season friendly in July 2000.

The loss of Norwich, Cardiff and Fulham from last season also cuts down our combined away game road mileage from 8,744 to 8,180.

A midweek trip to Crystal Palace looks to be the worst that the fixture compilers have thrown at us this season, although we're sure that will change.

As always, the fixtures will be mangled beyond all recognition by TV schedules. The first set of live TV games were announced in the second week of July last year.
