30 minutes to go, Im hoping for a Rotherham at home opening game of the season followed by Brentford away. I know everybody has to play everybody else but getting off to a good start could be important, new signings and youngsters will settle much quicker if points are on the board and we are in the top third of the table whereas morale would sink quicker than the Titanic if after a month we are just above relegation
Tough first ten games with Wolves, Cardiff, Derby, Blackburn, Forest, Reading all in a row in the first ten games. Looking at the fixtures the opening ten games could be crucial if we get off to a good start and are up there after those fixtures we will be set for a good season!
And it will be shown live on Sky. It took relegation from the Premier League for us to actually get attention.
Blimey that's tough, and especially with the four away games - Ipswich, Derby, Reading and Forest - in first seven. Lots of midweek (Wednesday) games early on as well, so playing '3 games a week'. Need to start getting the squad organised soonest. Biscuits in Bournemouth on Boxing Day, Captain? Here's the full fixture list: http://www.fulhamfc.com/first-team/2014_2015/fixtures
The last time we played you in a League game at Portman Road was in 2002 as a Premiership game! We won 1-0 Welcome to those of you who can make the trip up to Sunny Suffolk!
Bit annoyed about the Boxing Day fixture, to be honest. We were planning on having Christmas with Mrs Captain's family up in Lancashire, but that might be changing now. I'll keep you posted. The date of the game reduces the chances of Mrs Captain doing any baking for you lot (which were slim to start with, unlike myself).
After a hearty Xmas Day lunch, biscuits would indeed make a good snack - Goes with a brisk walk on the seafront, which I've not done since Torquay away (Heck - 1997!) COYW
The Club have given advance notice of four fixture changes: The home game with Brighton & Hove Albion, originally scheduled for Sunday, 28th December will now be played on Monday 29th December with an 8pm kick-off. Our Cottage derby with Brentford which was set to be played on Saturday 4th April will now take place a day earlier on Friday 3rd April with a 7.30pm kick-off. Our away trip to Charlton Athletic has been moved from its original Easter Monday date to Tuesday, April 7th (7.45pm). The home clash with Wigan Athletic will now be played on Friday 10th April (8pm) instead of Saturday 11th April.
Captain, she could always make them the week before and freeze them. Defrost day before the game - BOOM!
