Read a report yesterday on drug use world wide. Scotland came top in the world for Cocaine use, which I suppose is not that bad. A wee toot at the weekend maybe. The startling thing for me was that Scotlands Heroin use is TWICE that of the rest of the UK. That is an amazing statistic if ever I saw one. I have been watching The Scheme on the BBC (very funny) and also from word of mouth I knew Heroin was a major problem in Glasgow and Edinburgh but TWICE as bad as the rest of the UK? Crazy. Now I know that General Chat has a lot of proud Scots on it so I would like to ask your opinion on these statistics? Can any of you bring forward any reasons you think Scotland has such an awful drug problem? Cheers in advance chaps.
We are so much harder than the english it takes twice as much drugs to get half as ****ed. That and Thatcher in the 80's.
As I asked in the OP, can you bring forward any evidence to back up your opinion? Also, why would the Irish in Scotland have a worse Heroin problem than the Irish in Scotland? Doesn't really stack up. Especially when you consider the amount of Rangers tops on The Scheme.
Its the fcukin' skanky cnuts fae glesga, fife, embra, ayrshire. Take those rancid junkie cnust out the equation, and we'd be like Switzerland, I'm sure. Infact, 'take them out' altogether (in the Al Pacino sense) and Scotland would be a veritable Nirvana

And I'll have you know that heroin user per head of population is considerably lower in Edinburgh than in Glasgow. In fact, if you took Glasgow and all the scum that live there out of Scotland everything that's an indication of good health and prosperity would go up: average income, life expectancy, average health etc. Glasgow is dragging down the rest of Scotland.

It's well documented that Glasgow is the most impoverished place in western Europe, it has the highest ratio of child poverty the lowest live expectancy and a pishy wee river taxi with one **** on it (sorry about the last bit the river taxi just went by my work).
That's some pretty shocking stuff there. Glasgow east has a lower life span than Gaza. I shouldn't laugh but... Would Edinburgh be bad, if not as bad as Glasgow? Surely Glasgow isn't at fault for Scotlands H problem being twice the rest of the UK?
