    Not sure they will be better, perhaps offer something different - otherwise why didnt the club that purchased our player(s) just go and buy the replacement in the first place...

    For me it offers us an opportunity to fund various areas of the team and try different things.

    The people we replace with may turn out to be better, but I am not sure we can class them as that straight away.

    Will be even more interesting to hear the whole thing. Doesn't sound like he's desperate to leave to me, though I'm sure some will interpret it as "looking forward to getting back and speaking to the new manager, to tell him I want to leave"!

    Yeah I know Shaw is gone,. But he will hardly make a massive difference to the team like Lallana leaving would.

    I'm surprised that United are after Shaw at £27m when they could get Daley Blind from Ajax for less than half that and he's one of the best in the world in that position.
