if it is in Qatar they probably know who will win the league at the start of the season. Will be paid big bucks out there no doubt.

They're champions of Qatar - for whatever that's worth. It's not a fact yet, but very disappointing: lack of ambition. Not very different from, well you know my views.
Still hoping it's just a rumour. Or, if it goes through, that is in realization of that he can't get what he wanted this season and didn't want to go unemployed...

He's outside of Europe, just like he said if he didnt get the big club of his choice with an easy , high paying job . At least he'll be calling the shots on all aspects of his team . I think he totally lost the heart to play for middle of the road teams in Europe , and getting the "Madrid " type teams is probably not as important as once was . He'll be back in Denmark in the next few season s managing a Danish team no matterwho tries to get him . He knows now he should have jumped ship after one season with us but felt a loyalty to HIS team . Alll the best to him , deserved better from us and I will never see Jenkins as I did in the past .

Can you name me some managers who have won more trophies than Laudrup with small clubs....come on now, you've had plenty of time to think about it now...if you can't I would suggest you shut up regarding "Laudrup's level" as you are making yourself look stupid over and over and over and over and over.......well you get it...again.

Here we go again, so much for serious football debate. Is that the best you can do daiswan? Whatever happened afterwards you cannot escape the fact that Laudrup led us to our most successful season ever. Deny it, go on and you'll be a bigger laughing stock than you are already if that's possible. Whether you agreed with the sacking or not he deserves more respect than that and fans who come out with comments like yours aren't fit to wipe the **** off his shoe.

So... a curious choice for Laudrup but I'm chuffed as it's now unlikely he'll come back to pach any of his signings. Yes I'm thinking Michu.

There we go. You can't do it.
I guarantee you that any manager who's achieved as much as Laudrup has with small clubs is now considered a top manager.

The bloke's just taking a year or two out on top dollar. He'll probably have a palatial home too....I wonder if he'll give a **** about what the village idiot in Penclawdd thinks about it <laugh>

Like I said , his heart isn't in it anymore , its just money now . Within a few years he'll be back in Demark without a worry in the world , walking down a street named after him . A curious managerial career will be behind him , after walking through chairmaniacal land mines laid all the way through at "Middle of the road " clubs .... I'd take a simple , well paying job too ,away from the unwarranted crap he recieved at almost all clubs he managed since leaving Brondby ... a great manager , always in the right place at the wrong time I suspect Should have left after one year , I 'm sure his heart dropped when his agent was sent away and it was daija vu all over again ,as his subordinates started to fall

As a manager he didn't get parachuted into a big club. He's only managed small clubs outside Denmark and even at Brondby he didn't buy the title...they haven't come 1st or 2nd since he left. What has he achieved? Let's see....

    Danish League runners up.
    Danish title.
    Danish double.
    Copa Del Ray runner up.
    QFs of the UEFA cup.
Saved Mallorca from the drop when they were in the middle of financial oblivion (Equivalent of keeping Portsmouth up here).
    English League Cup winner.
Guided Swansea to the latter stages of the Europa.
Picked up many famous scalps in his 18 months or so with us.
Left us a squad that has vastly increased in value.

As I've done you the courtesy of responding to your question perhaps you'll do me the courtesy of responding to my question below. ...

Would you or anyone else like to point me in the direction of a modern day manager, who has never managed a big club, who has achieved more with his limited resources?
