What does this mean to QPR?

Well it looks like the H2 project will now happen as the major problem was always funding.

You may be aware that we have first dibs on the land around the major new H2 train HQ in Willesden and our beloved leaders have secured over 100 acres of this prime site for both a new footy stadium and for several thousand new homes subject to funding being approved. The Chinese have confirmed today that they want to be major backers of the project.

So, goodbye Loftus Road and Hello Air Asia Stadium!!!......nothing will happen quickly though hopefully within 5 years.

This is a major step forward for the mighty R'ssss

Good news, I'd still be building it from the North down though (along with a Liverpool-Leeds HS link).

It means the gov is selling out yet another industry to foreigners.

They will own half our power grid soon too.

There's going to be a massive energy shortage soon, so they let the frogs and Chinese build power stations and you know what they are going to do with the prices as soon as we can't afford to say no.
I hate both parties, they are just as bad as FIFA.

HS2 is an unnecessary, largely unwanted folly. It will destroy miles of countryside, numerous towns and villages for no great benefit at all. Such a pity our various governments are able to find millions to waste on such white elephants (the Dome, Millennium Bridge, Olympic legacy !!! come to mind) when the NHS is left floundering with financial mismanagement and underfunding. Poor priorities. Despite overseas investment, there will still be undoubted millions if not billions of our own tax payers cash blown on this hideous debacle.

Remember lads, you will all have to vote Tory at the next election. If you don't then the project will probably be scrapped anyway.

The Tory way is to spend 10 billion building it - flog it on the cheap to their mates for 5 billion, who then sell it to the French SNCF for £20 billion. So our overpriced fares can then be used to help keep the French train fares low. Trebles all round!

There are loads of companies involved, some British and some with some foreign ownership.
Like it or not (and I don't particularly) it is the way of the world. The global market etc.
I do believe we should be in charge (an therefore control) of our own Utilities though.

Basic things like power should be state owned, they sell them off for short term profit and then pay double the price for power.

Its like having a 600 mortgage, selling your house and then renting it back for 1000 just to get short term money which will be lost paying the increased fee and it will only get worse the longer it goes on.
