Seems ok for me. Are other sites normal at your end?

AG: I doubt Renault would risk it - they're obsessed with beating Mercedes. Do you not think Vettel might risk it given his enormous lead and the last chance to make the system work?

EDIT: I believe we're now waiting for Perez to decide whether he wants to race.

Vettel doesn't need to take risks, just solid points finishes and Red Bull look as if they have the pace to win the next two grands prix any way. Renault don't have a lot to lose, personally I'd rather have fifth and a race win than fourth and no win. This could be their only chance of winning a race this year.

I read somewhere that seb was running on a heavy fuel load while doing the silverstone spec. First time out doing it and only 2.5 seconds off webber, doesn't look that "bad" to me come silverstone.

He was 3.1 seconds off Webber when he was running the Silverstone spec mapping. When he switched to the same mapping Webber had he continued to be 3 seconds off until some his fuel load came off and he managed to reduce the gap to 2.5 seconds. They were clearly on massively different fuel loads but there wasn't any real difference in Vettel's times running the Silverstone and Valencia mappings until a good few laps into the fuel.

Not pleased with FP2 being usurped by tennis on Freeview red button!

Now I'm having to watch it on a small laptop screen with rubbish sound. Why do the beeb always do this whenever there's some kind of golf, tennis, athletics or some such going on? It's already on BBC2 and BBC1 will be showing it at 1.45 too so then they'll be THREE channels of tennis and nothing of F1.

    Nice work BBC!

    Damn, I missed it.

Alonso has the mastery of FP2 atm. I wonder if we'll get a blast from everyone at the end...

The bodywork on Schumacher's car is flexing again.

Wow, what a result.. I hate practice in a way, doesn't really show a realistic view of the speed of the driver+car.

Free Practice 2 - session times

Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel to duke it out tomorrow afternoon?

Button looks out of sorts. What's going on with Schumacher, up there in fourth?

Whats with this fanboy. and why are the bbc putting all his texts on and not mine about Massa <grr><grr><grr><grr>

Anon via text: "Hopefully Lewis can silence his critics this weekend. He has made F1 exciting to watch. It's as if the critics want to go back to the no-overtaking days!"

Anon via text: "Great to see Lewis putting in a competitive time. Fully support the rule changes for this race - parc fermé conditions should definitely cover engine mapping. If it affects the car and it's aerodynamics then it shouldn't be modified between qualifying and race day."

Anon via text: "Let's cast our minds back to Jenson's superb start in 2009. The damage had already been done...Vettel could theoretically win the Championship and not win another race this season..."

I hate it when people think Hamilton is the only driver who overtakes, or is somehow single-handedly responsible for the more exciting racing.

Agreed, this seems to happen all the time, there must be more people interested in the F1 than Britains lowly ranked womens tennis players!
