I think he was top scorer at the last WC. Not sure though.

He's also my fantasy football captain. <party>

Eder for Portugal should have had a penalty for Portugal - Clearly wiped out - referee didn't give it. Anywhere else on the pitch it's a free kick, so why not a penalty? Piss poor officiating - Again.

I am puzzled by the blather from the pundits about Miller going down too easily. Have a good look at it, Pepe raises his arm, knows he has made contact with the chin area, he draws it across and then, critically, he appears to deliberately push it back into Muller's face. If the ref was able to see the details of that then a red card would have been awarded; but it ended up academic as the head push definitely was. I can sympathise with Lee Dixon's insistence that Muller's went down too easily, but he didn't really, did he? He was deliberately fouled, the ref was unlikely to spot it, but Muller's made it clear. In today's game that is an acceptable face of football.

It's so ****ing depressing to read this. I'm on Dixon/Chiles's side - play-acting needs to be, er, stamped on. There's no way in the world a fondle in the chin was enough to put him on his butt.

I'm not defending Pepe, of course - he needs to smarten up.

I had money on this being a draw.

Just as I had money on England v Italy and Spain v Holland being draws.

    Anyone want any betting tips?

Not to mention Groves beating Froch ;) I'd give in, or let us know your bet so we can do the opposite! We're bound to be onto a winner then <laugh>

I fluked a £200 win on the play off semi but apart from that I'm on a losing run.

I did win £40 on Argentina last night though.

Had them as part of a treble.

If the Nigeria and USA games end up as draws I'm quids in.

Dont think there is much chance of the US game being a draw.
