Always look forward to watching the racing at RA, some top class animals on display over the week and with good weather forecast it should be a belter.

I will start off with War Envoy 9/2 in the Coventry Stakes 3:05 , I felt he was a shade unlucky the last day jinking (albeit very slightly) when in with every chance, he may not have beaten the game Kool Kompany that day but I think he will have learned enough to be wiser here and reverse form with that one. Cappella Sansevero is a huge danger if Ger Lyons word is anything to go by and he's done nothing wrong on the track so far either with 3 wins from 3, earlier in the season he spoke very highly of this one and talked of being able to have '1' to beat O'Brien with and he doesn't like sending them without a chance but I think War Envoy is the one to be on.

The King's Stand stakes 3.45 is an absolute belter and as in most sprints an element of luck may decide who triumphs on the day. The one I will be on is Shea Shea 9/2 who was a close 2nd in this last year and somewhat unlucky too, he was on the wrong side and met a little trouble in running before going down to old foe Sole Power but with a clean break and clean run I think Shea Shea will win. Hot Streak looked very good the last day and he may prove best of the rest, if the prices are holding around 4/1 the field I will have a reverse forecast on the 2.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Verrazano taking on Toronado, he seems a huge beast Verrazano and looked likely to improve from his first run at Newbury and he may give the favourite a bit to think about. In the rematch between Kingman and Night Of Thunder I'm of the same opinion as Boris in that I still can't have Night Of Thunder ahead of Kingman, even though I know Night Of Thunder is very good, something is just niggling me about that run and I will take Kingman to turn the form around, just!

Best of luck to everyone during the week :emoticon-0148-yes:

2:30 TORONADO evens first banker of the meeting.

3:05 KOOL KOMPANY 10/1 what a fantastic price for the two year old with the best form in the book.

3:45 ES QUE LOVE 33/1 Kirby bigging it up on ATR. Sprinting is improving him and he can find a bit more tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised if Pricewise nominates this one.

4:25 KINGMAN 11/10 second banker of the meeting, doubled with Toronado.

5:00 BALLINDERRY BOY 14/1 now 8/1. I see Hugh Taylor has been on here sponging again. Laid out for this and I will be hugely disappointed if he doesn't go very very close.

5:35 MIND OF MADNESS 6/1 back to a nice stiff five will take all the beating but its a tough finale as the yank could be anything and I am fearful of MERDON CASTLE who I have put up on here before and has form with Kool Kompany and also MIDTERM BREAK who is definitely worth an each way saver at 14's!

I think there could well be happy bookmakers after race 1. Toronado is hardly the most consistent sort and is returning from a 300 day absence. His form largely is based on his defeat of Dawn Approach in the Sussex who got a shocking ride that day when Manning went for home far too soon. Yes, he is the standout, but O'Brien improved Declaration of War so much last year from the Lockinge to win this race I think his American import Verrazano at 4/1, (which would allow an each-way bet to nothing) looks decent value to at least give the favourite a race.

Kingman should oblige but at 11/10 is priced very tight considering the Hannon horse who beat him in the Guineas is 5/2! If Kingman was priced as he should be i.e. 6/4 he'd be a cracking bet but he's priced up like he won the Guineas! On ground that may be lively enough he's a silly price. I wonder how much the travelling and running in the Irish Guineas on heavy ground took out of him too?

I'm not usually scared of short prices but I do think the above two are more vulnerable than the market suggests. I guess I may wait for the week's good thing at 4/6 on Wednesday <doh>

Bob where did you get 5/4 Kingman? I like the horse, just not the price. At 5/4 you could persuade me!

I backed him 3 weeks ago Beefy. The best I can see now is 11/10 with Stan James.

Coral are going 5/4 tomorrow beefy. Not sure what time or for how much though. They are also laying Toronado at 2/1 for a score at 8:15. Might as well take it.

Is anyone else not concerned by the going for Kingman or am I being over cautious?

Suraj has had the old member chop now and is up in trip for his 2nd run under Henderson. I reckon he stands a great chance.
