He was nearly scoring 2 in 3 at the point it calls him one of the "deadliest strikers".

Just like Afonso Alves was, scoring better than a goal a game in Eredivisie, before going to Boro and scoring 4 in 31 during a full season with them.

There's probably one out there about Proschwitz being a deadly striker as well!

He's got a future as a catalogue model if this football malarkey doesn't work out for him.

To be fair, it does say BEFORE being transferred to Sunderland. His stats in Holland were much better, although I do not remember anyone actually being killed by his striking prowess.

I was really excited when Jozy signed for us. I honestly thought he would set the Premiership on fire.

I rooted (in the American sense of the word) for him even when he wasn't scoring. I'd say "He's a hand full. Holds the ball up well. Defenders would rather he wasn't in the team" etc.

I forgave him when he got sent off when we were desperate for goals and points.

I followed his career when he left us and was genuinely pleased when he started scoring goals for Alkmaar.

I was pleased for him when he signed for the red and white Geordies and with the obvious exception of against us, would have happily seen him score a hat full.

I would really like this guy to have succeeded.

But the person who described him in the terms related in that article has to be the most deluded, unrealistic, worse judge of a footballer, biased, idiotic twat the world has ever seen.

I too have followed this lads career and apart from his spell in Holland he is not, nor ever will be, a strikers @rsehole.
Whoever invented the classification "hold-up player" wants circumcising with pinking shears. It means "HE CAN"T SCORE"! One fan on the American Big Soccer Message Boards stated that "He could well be the next 'black' Heskey". "BLACK" Heskey? He obviously hasn't seen Emile in the flesh or in a photo.
Enough has been said and every excuse in the book has been used in an effort to turn a pigs ear into a silk purse regarding this bloke. A very, very nice bloke off the pitch but sadly is a few sandwiches short of a picnic when it comes to playing football at this level.

Joking apart, it's very sad that it looks like his World Cup has started and ended with the opening game.

He might be a ****e striker, but he seems a decent lad.
