"Mr Johnson said that when looking at the current situation in Iraq it was important to consider the impact of previous foreign intervention in the country."

To be fair, Blair has done that. I think it's pretty reasonable to speculate that Iraq would be no better off had we not intervened back in 2003. Saddam's regime was relatively stable compared to how the country is now but dictatorships are bound to become unstable one way or another, and the Arab Spring would not have been kind to that regime had it still been in place by then.

Also intervention was largely supported by Conservatives and Boris would probably have done the very same thing in Blair's shoes. This is just a bit of political opportunism. I don't see why Blair shouldn't have his say on this just because he was responsible for a big mess last time.

Michael Schumacher out of a coma and moved from intensive care. Great news.

I think it is the fact that despite all the chaos in Iraq, the loss of lives, and the anarchy around, Blair still believes that the war was correct, and that he would do it again. He hasn't even considered his mistakes. Damn ignorance.

Tread with care, but on the face of it amazing news. I knew he'd been moved from ICT into a rehabilitation area, but that was actually considered bad news, as it indicated his life was no longer in danger, but that he was unlikely to ever recover.

The news he's actually out of the coma is huge though.

People also forget that Afghanistan was also, technically, illegal. Only the Liberal Democrats can say they opposed it, but nobody likes them much! Blair is a ****er. He had a good first term and it all went tits up afterwards.

Brilliant news about Schumacher. Now we just need to be told he can go back to living somewhere near a normal life and that would be great.

He did some good things as well. Reformed and invested in public services (health and education), introduced the national minimum wage, and improved pensions for example. He had a huge mandate to govern in the first two terms, but lost his way after the 'dodgy dossier' affair with Campbell. Had a good chancellor though, and I maintain that Gordon Brown is a good man, and excellent chancellor.

A video that's been doing the rounds on the internet past couple of days...

Today, a man was arrested in connection with that incident, probably the driver of the car. What a colossal anus. Source
