A very important thread, this. I must, myself, make a contribution of at least as much value. I believe there was a study by Schechter et al in the early-to-mid-90's in which it was posited that Suarez introduced AIDS to Africa. It is also widely believed that, if Suarez stopped biting people, there would be almost 100 million less cases of Malaria per year in continental Africa -- a reduction of nearly 50%! These facts can be corroborated by consulting the WHO website: www.who.int/ Even someone lacking common sense and the most basic research abilities will find the data I've included, despite it being abundantly axiomatic. The world needs rid of this blight. Act now, all people of good-conscience!
Piss off with reverting to the traditional scouse persecution complex. The vast majority of football fans in this country who don't go to bed whistling that dreadful dirge You'll Never Walk Alone thinks Suarez is a cheating prick and a horrible human being. it's really not just about him playing for your despicable club.
What a lovely ad hominem post. Just like the thread title. I'll leave you to your circle jerk. Slander away!
Has he ever cheated in a game? Did he bite opponents at least twice which would, in the eyes of most people mark him as a horrible human being? If you can answer no to either of those questions you have the right to acuse me of slander.
No-one ever mentions that the player beside Suarez tried to do the same thing (re-watch it). Besides, many many players would do the same thing. Regardless the morality is just the same as diving - will we castigate say Fred as well? Aaaaand we all know he was NOT found to be a 'racist' but had to the satisfaction of the FA made remarks which were considered to qualify as racist. Liverpool/Suarez should've taken it all to an actual court. Lets be honest... Suarez is a dirty bugger on the pitch but he gets so much hate because he's so good... Not because he's single handedly ruining football. What made me despair was the manner in which he tried to leave last summer. That showed no class.
He has cheated. He has bitten people on the pitch. He is not a racist, I don't consider him especially violent and certainly not a 'horrible human being'. For example, if Suarez went into a tackle two-footed with the pure intent of breaking someone's leg(s) and ending their career, and then showed no remorse for doing so, i'd say he was violent and a 'horrible human being'. But he's never done that. His 'bite'(s) never broke the skin and was hardly a Tyson-Holyfield affair, as some would have us to believe. They pale in comparison to bad tackles, elbows and headbutts - which do actual damage. I didn't answer 'no' to either of your questions because that would be lying. Anyone, not just you, calling Suarez a 'racist' is either guilty of committing slander or being a WUM, or they simply are ignorant of the definitions of the word 'racist' and the word 'slander'. If you think a football player who is guilty of rule infringements and handbags in a game is a 'horrible human being' what do you call thieves, thugs, rapists, *****philes, murders, mass murderers, people who commit genocide? Just wondering. Perhaps you need some perspective. I can see you don't like him, so why not just say that instead of trying to justify your dislike with fabricated accusations?
Well that won't be me then as i never called him a racist. I do stand by the view that someone who bites another person (and remember he didn't just do it once) is a horrible human being. I think most rational people would consider my perspective to be fine but thank you for your advice.
