Bit naughty there from Yoshi, although the flamboyant dive made it look worse than it was!

Japan can't keep giving these free kicks in dangerous positions away, they'll get punished for it.

Hard not to when they're being physically bullied though. Fun mismatch of styles.

Yep, guile vs power - which shall prevail? Also I had forgotten about Sol Bamba, liked him when he was at Leicester.

That waspish noise is a bit annoying. Is it the official instrument or something..?

Which has reminded me why I didn't find watching the England v Italy match fundamentally annoying - the Barmy Army have been banned, thank goodness.

If Bony was on form then it'd be an easier game. Gervinho's direct charging is causing a lot of problems, Yaya will probably nail one of the free kicks if they can get a couple more second half.

Jeez, you can see Bony's pecs and abs through his shirt. It's like he has an orange coloured super hero costume on top. :)

I hate them, and Uruguay, for wearing such tight shirts. Makes me feel ever so emasculated.

Hasn't the official instrument been banned?! I think I saw somewhere that it had due to it being grenade shaped, and they were worried they may be used as such!

To be fair, the England Rugby Union team wore ultra tight shirts back when they won their World Cup. Didn't do them any harm. :)

Well someone is making an annoying noise with some wind instrument anyway. They can't be farting in regular sync..!

And as I type that, it's HT. Time for a beer.

Good half for the Samurai Blue, keep it up lads. Maya playing well apart from his Gobern moment.

I missed the first few mins of the 2nd half, did he miss a sitter or something? As for what's wrong, God knows!

He just had another relatively simple header that he steered well wide.
