Silly cow. Firstly, invading the pitch when your team haven't achieved anything major is stupid. Secondly, what the hell did she expect when she was running onto the pitch? The stewards just to let her pass and her to suddenly start off a 30,000-strong pitch invasion? Give her the refund obviously, but the ban should stand.
I actually picked up a banning order at Milton Keynes away a few seasons back. I was approached by an over ambitious steward and asked for my ticket. I got my wallet out to hand it over and he snatched my wallet. An argument ensued and with MK trying to promote a "family atmosphere" the police quicky arrested me for being being drunk in a sporting arena? Drunk in a sporting arena that has a bar? Wow. I thought at this point it would end with an £80 fine..... how wrong I was! With the world cup bid in the pipeline the FBOA (football banning order association) were pushing to ban as many "hooligans" as possible and impress FIFA. Cut a long story short I appeared at magistrates and was given a 3 year banning order (can be reduced to 2 Years upon appeal) & a total of £370 (fine & costs). When England & Leeds (including pre season) play abroad I have to surrender my passport to the police station and report there to sign a book so many hours before kick off (to prove i could not get a flight to game - varies on game destination). I am also not allowed within 1 mile of most grounds 1 hour before or after games (old trafford is 3 miles for some reason & not actually allowed outside old trafford at all). Thankfully upon appeal it will be over come Jan 2012. So grannykins should class herself as f&&&&g lucky and get off the TV. No wonder we're top of the banning list when all the Nazi steward scumbags start on our fans for practically no reason. Would a Barnsley fan behaving the same as you have been banned? Would they ****. At least it's over soon. I'd be ruined if that happened to me though.
