The fault for at least three goals lies with Castillas - not his night at all. His dealing with the cross that led to the third goaol was not even Sunday morning stuff.
Been my pet theory for seasons that Spanish defences have been protected by over-loaded midfields and the Dutch took Ramos and Picquet apart, this could be the end of tippy tappy football. Hopefully.
I had Chile in the sweepstake in the last world cup and they were ace to watch. Good, attacking, possession based football but with purpose and led by Alexis Sanchez (who is pretty awesome). Not seen much of them since but if they are similar this world cup then I had a feeling they would progress out of that very tough group. Spain must now be bricking it, they can win both their next matches but if Chile beat Holland (and they all beat Oz which I feel is likely) they could go out on goal difference anyway...
Don't think so mate, they've had very few played top level for anyone. We were linked with Lucas Neill 3.4 million times like.
Looking at the Chile team: Vidal, Sanchez, Isla, Vargas, Aranguiz (Juve, Barca, Juve, Valencia, Udinese) they should brush Australia aside. Dodgy at the back though, central defence are a couple of championship players now. That in itself doesn't make them bad but its a far cry from some of the players on show this tournament.
