Fair enough. Going by the season's each of those three have had I'd have gone for De Gea. And Its 5 for Netherlands. Utter humiliation. What must Silva be thinking now? Scores that 2nd and the games over, Now Look!
5-1!!!!!!! It's the biggest world cup shock in years. Unbelievable, Jeff! please log in to view this image
Casillas is captain and has been the bedrock of their team the last 10 years. No chance he was being dropped this World Cup, despite the fact he probably should have given he wasn't even the first choice Spanish keeper at Madrid this year.
I get that but there is a time in football when you have to be cutthroat and drop players who aren't performing. Casillas has only played half a season and looked dodgey in that. De Gea was Man U best player by a country mile, probably the best GK in the Prem this season. You'd think they'd switch it round for the next game, but I don't see Spain making too many changes against Chile and possibly getting beaten.
Holy crap.. Should have made it 6-1 but then what a volley from Robben. Can't wait for us to sign him this summer
I don't disagree, but dropping the captain and the guy with 120+ caps and has been the your keeper and captain for the last 3 Comps in which you've won them all would take some big balls. He's like the managers right hand man on the pitch...
Me either. Must wait for RHC's mate to say it's a dead cert' first. No chicken counting until that glorious moment.
