Perhaps someone with a better knowledge of Dubai law can explain this to me. How can you be locked up for more than a month with no criminal charges brought against you to face a civil court case? It seems weird he was detained at all, as far as I'm aware civil courts in this country have no powers to arrest or sentence people. Bit ultra capitalist for corporate entities to go around motioning courts to arrest without charge any Tom, Dick and Harry who owes them a few quid for my liking.
That crossed my mind too. Legal system here in Ireland, you'd have to kill someone to do more than a month in jail. Clearly a very different legal system over there
They didn't Wicks, but the draws for both the 2018 & 21022 WCs were run simaltaneously. & someone has suggested that if they had to run 2022 again, they might be required to run 2018 again as well. Something to do with agreements on how people voted for 2018 being obtained to help Qatar get 2022. No, I didn't fully understand it either!!!!!!!!!
