The point was that the OO is as much political as it is religious. The logical extension of that is the argument that we have been having that calling someone an orange bastard is not inherently sectarian. My belief is that it can engender a sectarian belief which is why i don't sing it any more but I accept the argument that it isn't necessarily sectarian. They can make a sectarian protest all they want but they should also get pilloried for it. NPOR absolutely can engender a sectarian belief and is inherently sectarian. parody or no parody. i think sectarianism in scotland is probably on the wane, but I believe that people could be more proactive in trying to get rid of it entirely. Anti-irish racism is as big a problem and it seems that people are unwilling or unable to identify it or tackle it.

Maybe ST is right about the church of Scotland influencing people's views and opinions of Irish Catholics, the Church sounds like an old style BNP going by that report. And yeah, I'm the same, I don't care about religion one bit and I don't see why it's such an issue to other people either. There's much more than in Liverpool and Manchester, which is what my point was.
