Top game so far, had a feeling croatia had a goal in them so this is set up nicely

 

What a great finish that ended up being. If he'd have got some actual power on it, it would have been easier to save from that range, but he's scuffed it at such an angle it's impossible for the keeper.

On a side-note, I HATE COSTA RICA. I just spent 8 hours in the following situation on fifa 14 WC, as England.

England beat Italy 1-0, lost to Uruguay 3-1. Italy lost to England 0-1, beat Costa Rica 1-0. Uruguay beat Costa Rica 4-0, beat England 3-1.

There, I beat Costa Rica 4-0, I'm through, otherwise I have to better Italy's score, or hope they put way more past Uruguay. Having beaten them copious times 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, only for Italy to EXACTLY match my result and eliminate me every time, I finally managed to advance. I then lost to Ivory Coast on penalties, and the game obliged me to start again from the last point it saved (and I saved it before Ivory Coast anyway)... But yes, you've guessed it, the usual Fifa bug with saved games. It's gone back to ffffffffffffffffffffffff-ing Costa fffffff-ing Rica.

 

Has anyone else tried watching the match via ITV.com? Useless fecking cnts are doing "maintenance" during the first match of the WC.

I'm dead serious. There's a bar at the top says "maintenance in progress" and the player itself won't work. So anyone wanting to watch online can't. I mean, words fail me.

Wouldn't know, I'm "watching" ITV player. Twitter is awash with abuse for ITV. How the f*ck can they screw up the first World Cup match?! It's incredible.

 

Good to know that terrible officiating is not reserved for the Premier League alone.

I hate ITV player. It's only slightly above AIDS on the list of awful things one person could pass on to another. Genuinely horrendous.

You put it on, at the time of a live game, and will have to watch 4 minutes of commercials before you can join the live feed
It then inevitably breaks down
And then if you refresh it to get it back, you have to watch the fffffffing commercials again

 

I had it on no problem for the first half, apart from a couple of buffering bits. I did my usual refresh at half time to catch up time and never got back on. Watched the rest on a windows app, filmon, but even that had to be refreshed every 3 or 4 mins. Not good.

 

Didnt they feck up the 1st game at the Euros too...cutting away to a commercial and a goal was scored while they were away, or something???

I spent most of the match shouting at the TV , due to the inane verbal diarrhea dribbling permanently from Clive Tysledly(sic) the village idiot's village idiot andy townsend's mouths..

(I was quite pleased when half time arrived as i was exhausted and needed a tactical rethink, relying on our glorious leaders tactic of sitting back and hoofing long ball shouts of derision at them in the second half, while they pummeled me with total and utter bollox)
