I feel Lucky, having two of my favourites for the trophy playing each other on day one of the championship. Both teams with a glorious, in each their fashion, history of the World cup. Croatia, virtually the inventors of defensive, yet technical, football. In my eyes, traditionally, one of the best footballing nations en Europe. Always having star players in the biggest Clubs. Brazil, what can I say: permanent favourites to win the cup, only nation in the World that could field 3-4 squads into the tournament, that all would be highly competitive. As we all know, the host nation hasn't ever lost an opening game, this will be no different (though I punted, with my Heart, for Croatia). Brazil are the most likely Winners of a hard played, nervy game, with only a few (1) goals scored. They'll probably prove me wrong and giving us a memorable match that ends 5-3 in whatever favour - I'm a lousy punter...
I just hope the game is better than that opening ceremony bollocks. Load of rubbish. Got Willian and Neymar in my fantasy team so come on Brazil
May be an upset here and I've predicted that with a 1-0 loss for the hosts. BUT if Brasil shrug of the expectation they should win.
Danish tv haven't even mentioned Croatia yet: been raving on about Brazil for 45 minutes. Getting fed up with them already...
