I am not sure if i am clouded by my emotions but i am truly angry and disappointed in the fact that we have allowed Fabregas to go to Chelsea surely we should have done all we could to get him in our squad. He is one of the best midfielders in the world proven in Spain and England and for 30 mill is a clear bargain. but seeing as we have not got him i am hoping that we add atleast 2 class players to our squad and i mean class in the bracket of Falcao,Benzema a top striker proven already at one of the biggest clubs in Europe if we dont get any players of this calibre i see my self losing faith in wenger for the first time. surely i am not the only arsenal fan upset that we have made no deals so far when Chelsea have signed Costa and Fabregas for what i see both of em are value for the money spent
Not sure why there's so much abuse aimed at the player on twitter. If he's brilliant and Chelsea win trophies then only Wenger is to blame. If he's rubbish (which he won't be) then you can say Wenger got it right
Wenger is to blame 100% We turned down the chance to sign one of the Worlds best player. For me it just shows we are not trying to compete.
Not only did you turn down the chance to sign a better player than Ozil, you also allowed Chelsea (your supposed rival) to immediately improve their team and ensure you don't finish above them
Theres always idiots on twitter tweeting hate there all morons its not just arsenal fans who do this but fans of sport in general. however fabregas dosent deserve any hate from any arsenal fan by what he has said i am assuming we where his first pick but Wenger didnt want him. I am going to judge wenger the day before our game before city as all our transfers should be done by then and if we dont have a couple new world class players i will have lost complete faith in wenger and will be counting the days to his retirement.
In the premier league, Fabregas is a much better player than Ozil. In La Liga, it's the other way around IMO.
too early to say about Ozil as he only played 1 season. i personally believe he will be a superstar and lead all assist rankings etc when he links up with our new super striker who obvioulsy we are going to buy as we passed on Cesc.
As mentioned, we now have to see Wenger buy at least one player of Fabregas' quality this window to justify passing up on Fabregas. Otherwise it will be a massive opportunity missed. I have to agree that he would have been a luxury signing, especially when there are other areas that need attention. But the onus is now on Wenger to come up with the goods.
Yep for me Wenger must now pull something special out the hat! Yes Fab would have been a luxury, and its debatable if he would have reached the same heights as last time or that Wenger may have had to restrict other players games to get the best out of Fabregas, however, in 12-18 months Arsenal could be looking at having to buy 2 midfielders. Arsenal closed the gap last season; yet in a matter of weeks since the seasons end, the gap has opened up once again! Of course, you have to remember that things change quickly and we are commenting at perhaps the worst time of the close season, with others strengthening and Arsenal seeming to be making no progress. Wenger simply must now sign proven quality, certainly in the striker department, a Balotelli, Morata, or Benzema type is the least that must be delivered. I have been a huge fan of Wenger, but I must admit, failure in this window and he is no longer truly competitive with the very best!
Don't be so defeatist, you might as well just give up now and go and watch Tennis or something with an attitude like that.

Forgive me for not crying any tears over a player who effectively went on strike three years ago to force a move away from Arsenal and before anyone accuses me of being bitter over Fabregas signing for Chelsea, this is a view I have held on this forum since he left.
