Exactly my point. Does the Scottish Parliament think it can rule the whole internet? The most stupid bill every brought to Parliament.
Not606 has to change then. Anybody posting from Scotland can't be bigoted or racist but if you post from England, Northern Ireland or Wals you can say what you want.
I've no idea. Surely it would only apply to people living in Scotland or on Scottish soil at the time of the "crime"?
The Bill's been delayed and will most probably be cancelled, making the SNP's record of competence during the last parliment to be no more than a distant memory.
Sleepy You obviously haven't done your research, mate. There are a LOT more questionable ASPs, believe me:
I think they've ****ed up bigtime on this. Most people that I've talked to think they're a bunch of arsehoes now. Independence down the tube I think.
The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 makes hateful behaviour towards a victim based on the victim’s membership (or presumed membership) in a racial group or a religious group an aggravation in sentencing for specified crimes.
I'd largely agree with that. Going largely along football lines, both sides seem to be delighting in the fact that the other will get hammered. It won't pan out like that. Subjective legislation is a disaster. Existing legislation in Scotland is a strong enough instrument to tackle racism and sectarianism but they need to be doing something, or at least seen to be ding something.
