They found the enforced placement of a symbol that represents people who quite clearly were the enemies of Ireland on their football shirts as offensive

I bet that you believe when they collected all those food parcels they stipulated that no ex servicemen were fed

No, but I don't think a group of servicemen who wanted to play would find any trouble

I'm sure they'd receive as warm a welcome as poppies on the shirts did.

Forgot this part "Your deeds would shame all the devils in hell. Ireland Iraq Afghanistan. No bloostained poppy on our hoops"

Who do you think they meant?

    Then there's this:

    Green Brigade statement:

At half-time during today’s match against Aberdeen we displayed message banners calling for ‘No bloodstained poppys on our hoops’ in protest at the Club’s decision to once again wear the poppy on our shirts during next week’s game at St Mirren (a match our group will not attend because of this decision). This is in support of an appeal by Poppyscotland to all SPL clubs. Poppyscotland describes its role as ‘supporting heroes’ and state that ‘the poppy has become a symbol of remembrance and for the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces’. Our group and many within the Celtic support do not recognise the British Armed Forces as heroes, nor their role in many conflicts as one worthy of our remembrance. Earlier this year, the Saville Report on Bloody Sunday confirmed that 14 unarmed civilians were murdered in Derry in 1972 by the Paratroop Regiment. They were among hundreds killed by the British Army during the most recent phase of conflict in Ireland. More recently, the British Armed Forces have murdered and maimed many thousands more innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Now tell me again they don't have a problem with the Armed Forces?

In summary this so called Anti Discrimination drive from the GB is hypocrisy of the very highest (or lowest) order, they have thrown a blanket over every member of the Armed Forces (and especially the Army) with their ill considered political bollocks, which to be fair is pretty typical of them.

The armed forces are not a race, they are a group of armed men who discriminate against women, homosexuals and alive Irishmen

Your argument could be used for any anti discrimination movement that didn't allow the KKK to get involved

Even saying that there is no sign saying armed forces, zombies or even KKK are not welcome

Maybe they just assume people from those groups are 100 percent discriminatory so wouldn't go anyway

I wonder how many ex servicemen the GB refused to feed from their food drive, seeing as they don't see them as heroes

Gays and lesbians have been allowed to serve openly in the Her Majesty's Armed Forces since 2000

    That's a fail right there.

And last time I checked there were women in the Forces.

Its not about organizations though, it's about people. The idea is everyone go's along to get along

I can accept some may believe it's hypocritical. Self congratulating or whatever but the event itself cannot be seen as a bad thing

If any proof was needed that the Green Brigade are a bunch of unmitigated *****s then you only have to look at their logo.

    A skull wearing a tricolour scarf <laugh> <doh>
