See on NewsNow that Cork is on Palace's radar!
That leaves just poor old Artur B and Steve Davis left....they will need therapy soon unless they get chased by another club

Now I'm really pissed off. I see Crystal Palace are interested in Jack Cork**..? How dare they..? He's worthy of the attentions from a far better club. Come on you Spurs, you Evertons, etc... Show some proper respect. :)

**DL SFC got there first.

A kind of positive post and a look at how Atletico Madrid have faired as a club since their return to La Liga in 2002. After 14 years (6 managers) and a number of big players such as Torres, Aguero, Falcao leaving along the way. They won La Liga with no sugar daddy, but building slowly overtime and re-investing in the squad with player sales.
They have also done this making close to €60m Euros in player sales over the last few seasons as they look forward to moving to a new stadium in 2016.

The Rise of Atletico Madrid

2002 - Champions of Division 2 with Aragones as manager
2003 - 11th
2004 - 7th - Manzano becomes manager
2005 - 11th
2006 - 10th - Torres Sold 26.5m (Forlan & Aguero purchased) - Aguirre becomes manager
2007 - 7th
2008 - 4th
2009 - 4th
2010 - 9th (Win Europa League) - Spend €2.4m Credit - Biggest Moves (Sales; Jurado €11m, Jimenez €8.5m, Buys; Felipe Luis €12m) - Sanchez Appointed Oct 09
2011 - 7th - Spend €5.7m Credit - Biggest Moves (Sales; Aguero €45m, De Gea €20m, Forlan, Buys; Falcao €40m, Turan €13m)
2012 - 5th (Win Europa League) - Spend €21.5m Credit - Biggest Moves (Sales; €11m Salvio, Dominguez €8m) - Simeone Appointed in Dec 2011
2013 - 3rd - Spend €36.6m Credit - Biggest Moves (Sales Falcao €60m, Buys; Guilavoguel €12m, Alderweireld €7m)
2014 - 1st (Champions League finalist)

I'd have him, even if Balotelli wouldn't. In fact, Balotelli poor opinion probably makes him more worth having.

Mancini......well it would have been far cheaper to give NC what he wants & not start pissing our pants over £27M of unpaid transfer debt! That's what makes no sense to me, are we looking to still be ambitious, because if we are it sure does look like we are taking the far more expensive & risky option.

I don't think the Cortese disagreement was about money.

There is something about this that makes me feel so sorry for Burnley. Part of me wants him to stay there for them. He helps get them up, prove yourself in the Prem and see if you can help keep them there.

Have to agree with that. If he's to leave them, I would welcome him here, especially as we are in need of someone like him, but it seems a real shame that he might not be there next season.
