I don't know why people would rather we were hasty and appointed someone quickly rather than taking a little longer and getting the right person for the job. I know that uncertainty and less preparation time are counter arguments, however I doubt that it will be much longer and with The World Cup about to start and pre-training still a way off then I think it is better to get things right than appoint quickly .
Love this.......after a s***day at work this comment really cheered me up. I'm off to take my tranquilliser
I couldnt agree more - why do the club need to do things in other peoples timescales (i.e. now) just because it makes them happy and calms them down? Football clubs always have and always will do what is right for them. It is the same with the bullshit on the Dejan thread - people slating the Board as they havent denied it. If they had to make a statement everytime something came out in the press they would never get anything done. Like appoint a manager. Can you imagine how much longer it would take to unveil them!
I'd take that job. Bullshit denier. Now there's a job title. Custodial Engineer? Bollocks. Administrative assistant? Bollocks. Flight Attendant? Bollocks. BTW, this post is brilliant, so give me some rep. It's a travesty that I'm below 1 million.
A guess. Koeman could be in the frame for the Dutch job, if Italy have a poor world cup then Mancini could be in the frame for that job. Or the southampton board will be too busy watching the world cup like me.
Guus Hiddink is the new Dutch manager. Was announced a few months ago. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26784524
Anyone think we've missed a trick waiting this long? UTD got in early and got LVG, we could have done the same with someone like Sampaoli? Definitely too late to appoint an international manager now.
