Perhaps a break from the internet would help your mood somewhat. Just a suggestion. But a word of warning, watch out for the pesky postman tomorrow, for he brings badness to your letterbox.
Le Tissier not surprised on Twitter, saying he'd heard that Mauricio did a lot of ****-stirring before he left. Which is a shame. Might be a case of needing to weed out certain characters and then move on.
I hope this is right, actually. It fits my slightly brighter picture of the future. Dump the ****, flush, move on.
I'm not sure selling almost half the first team (which is what some people seem to be suggesting) can really be called "dumping the ****".
Just because something works with apples doesn't mean it will work with a football club. If we sell half our first team (and I'm not suggesting we will) then other players will almost certainly be (even more?) unsettled and things could get very nasty indeed.
the worm left of its own accord, didn't it? even paid its own release clause. might take a while for the fallout to dissipate.
This wouldn't surprise me, takes one of the clubs who had potential to compete with his new club out of the equation for at least a season. Also, would not have been happy with NC's departure so can see that he'd be tempted to do so at the point he knew he was leaving. We probably just need all roots that affiliate with NC/Poch over the club to leave asap. Trouble is that they have connections with everyone else. e.g. Shaw leaves, but he'll be in contact with the best youth players 1-3 years behind him in the production line telling them how cool it is in Alderley Edge.
Am I the only one thinking that probably the last thing on Lovren's mind atm is where he will be playing next season. He has been in full training with Croatia for the last two weeks and is due to play his first match of the World Cup against Brazil, tomorrow!!!
Mm mm I've never ever seen half an apple grow strong again. It usually gets eaten by something bigger Maybe a better anology should be used?
So not even a small part of you considered NC to be a little bit of a megalomaniac? I think we all agree he was a control freak at the club; someone takes that control away.... Oh I can believe he'll be having a little chuckle to himself. Why he has already been on camera with a big cheesey grin saying none of this would have happened if he'd still been here.
I was just talking about eating the apple. At the moment, Saints are pretty inedible. I want to be able to savour at least a few weeks of the summer...
I sort of get what you mean, but an odd assertion. How many successful businesses has Katherina run that weren't inherited wholesale from her father, against how many successful businesses have been run by people who frequent this board?
I've known some sports executives who suffer from megalomania. This guy, for example. After he was turfed on account of being utterly abysmal at his job, he clearly wanted his old team to succeed because he then spent the next year on a self-serving publicity tour telling media outfits that it was all his doing. If Cortese is a megalomaniac, I'd imagine that he'd be happier seeing his creation continue to succeed so that he could bask in the reflected glory.
It's looking very much like someone is actively briefing against the club. This timing of these press releases appears orchestrated. I can only think of one obvious candidate, and am amazed that some of you still consider him above reproach.
