**** players that cost lots of money. Lescott £22m (some don't fancy him) Fellaini £27m = flop at united. I can't believe how carried away people get!
They have no say, it's decided by a tribunal, they're just basing their compensation figure on the fact that they managed to get a £1.5m loan fee from Palace last season. We could agree a fee with Blackpool directly and avoid the risk of a tribunal completely.
No information from the snooker club yet but Jimmy the shoe shine boy says it is a DONE DEAL. Well almost. Lescott wants 3 years we have given that as an option by all accounts. But some book makers have it almost as done.
Thank god for a rumour! I've been starring at this page waiting for an update! Anything would have done! Messi, Rooney anything!!
The morning papers with the Daily Mail especially hot on Hull City rumours. The mail have us bidding £8m for both Dawson and Livermore and getting Lescott as a free agent with Tom Ince also having had talks with Bruce. The water does appear to be warming up.
I just have a feeling SB is going to trump Pulis at the last minute for Livermore, he is just binding his time.
Maybe. You know what John, I think that Livermore will also play a big part in this deal. The part i like is that Bruce does not have a set budget. As the Allams say, every transfer target is judged on its own merits. But if Spurs really are wanting to get rid of Dawson then £8m for the pair would be great value for both clubs.
At least all the articles out seem to just be rehashing other articles. Thats a good sign for us I would say.
Without doubt we shall need players with european experience especiallhy when we get to the group stages. As good as Davies and Chester are - Lescott and Dawson know the european stage very very well.
I never really understood the term "European experience" with regards to footballers. How does the fact that a player has played against teams from Cyprus, Poland or Romania help us? We've played teams in pre-season friendlies that are better than some of the teams we could get in the third qualifying round. I doubt Chester would suddenly be confounded with what to do when he sees a Brazilian born- Bulgarian international striker running at him. Wembley experience I could see as helpful, because it would mean they've played in front of huge crowds at an important match.
Who' be moving on if we got Lescott and Dawson though? I'd be worried about Davies if that was the case
So would that be Livermore + Dawson and we sod off lescott or if we get lescott we sod of Livermore+Dawson do you reckon?
