Nonsense. ^^^^ this. Cole should have been first choice with Baines as back up. Shae should have gone as a non playing squad member for the experience. Shaw's time should start in sept from the euro 2016 qualifiers. Due to the lack of quality centre backs we needed Ashley Cole like never before. The defence is very poor for a World Cup. You dont. You have been done up like a kipper. Read it and weep. It pains me to agree with you but you are correct for once. Well done. Sir with a C missed the whole point of the argument. Lol.
There was no argument, just an explanation of the facts that you appear a little too ******ed to understand. Although you have remained consitent with you usual "no nowt" knowledge. I said Cole retired before the squad was announced You said he didn't. It has been shown, quite clearly, that he retired on the 11th May & the squad was announced on the 12th. Meaning he retired before the squad was announced. Now shut up & get the rest of the windows licked or you'll get no tea. TWaT
Back on thread Manchester City deny any contact from clubs for defender Micah Richards. They may even make him see out his contract with one year left. New Man Utd boss Louis Van Gaal wants Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez. Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis wants Stoke forward Peter Crouch.
I agree with him, I think Baines is a ****ing ****e defender. Which game was it for England when everyone ****ed about hsi attacking play yet he gave the ball away a good five times in defensive positions? I think a time will come pretty soon when people really turn on Baines and then they'll all say "I never rated him in the first place".
Stoke have announced the signing of former Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf on a free transfer.
As I pointed out at the time, he was lying. Palermo sold him for £17m. It was another of his Humber Bridge stories....
That makes no ****ing sense, why take him to not be as a player? How will that give him experience of being a player at a major tournament? Surely taking Cole as a non player to help others makes more bloody sense?
It's Tickler, nod your head & tap him on the head. "clever boy, clean windows" is all you need to say.
Regardless of what you think of his abilities, there was never any doubt that Baines was going to be our first choice left back at this competition. That being the case, you have to consider if it's best to take a player who's about to drop out the team anyway, or the bloke that's going to replace him. I think they made the right decision taking Shaw(though I wouldn't have been bothered if they took Cole).
Well yeah, if Baines is first choice then I'd take Shaw as back-up. I was just posting my opinion that i think the manager is wrong with his first choice and therefore also wrong with his number 2 for number 3.
It is a WC ffs. You need the best you have and Shaw is nowhere near ready for a WC. Even Stuart Pearce says that Shaw wont get a kick unless something happens top Baines. In the big one off games Ashley Cole is still about as good as anyone in World football. This should and would have been Ashley Cole's swan song. Shaw is the future yes but not the present. By taking Shaw it would show him what is involved without the pressure. If anything happens to Baines England are in big trouble with that defence.
Your head needs the tap. You really have just proved just how simple and stupid you really are. Have a nice day.
But Cole wouldn't be first choice even if he went, why don't you get that! What is the point of taking him to sit on the bench instead of someone new who can gain experience from it!
I agree wholeheartedly that Cole shouldve been first choice and Ive already stuck my neck out to say Shaw will be a nobody in 5 years. I'm thinking total Franny Jeffers and Saints should defo sell him while they can. Cole is still brilliant and the reason he hasnt been involved with Chelsea is cos Jose is building a new team for the future in line with FFP and they're planning for someone on less than half of Ashley's money. These arent problems for England and for 5 weeks he wouldve been better than anyone else we have.
Spot on. The point is that Ashley Cole is still even now the best left back England has. Other than Gary Cahill the England defence is a massive worry and sadly the 3 group games will show that massively. I know he would not have been and that is down to Woy not having a clue. The fact of the matter is that Cole should have gone and been first choice for this WC. Then it would have been Baines and Shaw. Why dont you get that ?
