What's your point? That doesn't take into account the fact that some players will play against teams with deep defensive lines meaning you won't get to go into a full sprint, that doesn't take into account that some players will be man marked by 2 or 3 defenders meaning its hard to run into space. Also, do you really think these players are the fastest in the premiership: Mario Balotelli, Nigel Reo-Coker, Brett Emerton, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, Chris Smalling, Matthew Etherington, Gareth Bale, Peter Odemwingie, Manuel de Costa, Hugo Rodallega, and Richard Stearman? Because these were the ones who were recorded as running fastest in the premier league last season. Yeah, Brett Emerton is faster than the likes of Rooney, Ashley Young, Agbonlahor etc.

Firstly your assertion that they are both similar players is totally incorrect and if you can't see the difference then its down to your limited appreciation of football. Secondly, it was YOU who brought up the age difference. Thirdly, if you look at Owens starts for Madrid then they don't compare with those of Hernandez so the 20 goal thing is a complete red herring. Fourthly, it may not have penetrated you pea brain but Owen is not liked BY us and that dislike of the player has NOTHING to do with United - that is just a further reason for disliking him more. Goodness me to claim Owen and Hernandez are not similar players is just plain and utter stupidity. It shows your football knowledge (and I use the term loosely) is limited to only Liverpool players. I brought up the age difference when you told me to take a look at their stats. At 22 Owen had been playing in the Premier League for 4 years. Hernandez has come from a different country and managed 20 goals at the best team in the country. So by you comparing them at the age of 22 and noting that Owen had won some poxy awards is a red herring as they're respective careers couldn't have been more different. Owen went to the best team in Spain and failed miserably compared to Hernandez.
