Mancini resigns on the same day that...

Southampton executive director Les Reed has revealed the club are close to announcing a high-calibre managerial appointment to replace Mauricio Pochettino who left the club to take over at Spurs last month.

    Is reported on SSN..?

Surely he can't be going there can he?

They're a team on his level, he'd do well there I think.

WBA still have a vacancy as well, wonder who they're speaking to, I'd imagine somebody like Neil Lennon. Underwhelming.

Ranieri is another good shout for Southampton.

Isn't Ranieri Monaco manager? loads of money and all that?

Plus sure I seen WBA were linked with Sherwood

Ranieri was sacked by monaco. Would prefer Koeman tbh

That wouldn't surprise me. He's a bit of a jack the lad mind so not sure WBA would be offering him anything long term. No sympathy for them after sacking Clarke who had them playing good football. Boring club.

He's done well in Holland. Didn't do so great in Spain with Valencia

A bonus of Mancini is he would help with getting big name players in, and maybe even convincing Lallana to stay

Koeman looks the real deal to be fair, I'd probably prefer him to Ranieri.
