Yeah, we put spikes up outside so the vermin can't get near.

You won't drag me into a social debate; I'll leave that to the others in the other thread.

What the F? I posted this in Beefy's?!

I am pretty sure I went into 'Go Advanced' on Beefy's and then posted this.

    Apparently not. Apologies guys. <laugh>

Brilliant. Accidental my arse. "Everyone gave the machine a nudge". Probably true, but Mr Lambert was the unlucky **** who's "nudge" caused the glass to shatter!

This totally deserves it's own thread. We'll be discussing this weeks to come, all through the World Cup!

Perhaps they will put spikes around the machine to deter angry Scousers......

I imagine it went something like this

Mr Lambert puts quid in machine and selects Capuccino, nothing happens.

"ay! ay! where's my fookin coffee?! ay! This is bullshit!"

    smashes glass.

Management then probably reviewed the cctv footage, and dismissed him after the evidence proved conclusive.

I agree with you there, though the problem with these massive corporate ****s is they tend to do things by the book, so they don't get their asses sued. To be sacked for gross misconduct, they probably had pretty good evidence.

My German and Albanian bus friends think we should all go to Oktoberfest. Not sure if they're serious.

Went in to the kitchen this morning and overheard a conversation regarding Selina and another person called Zoe. Sounds like these ladies all sit near each other. The two who were talking sit nowhere near me, in the side of the office I rarely venture into. I think I can rule out all the people I can see from where I'm sitting.

Sounds a bit petty though...although no doubt he did break the darn thing....was it done on purpose or an accident? I am assuming like others that it was typical as others have suggested that the coffee cup didn't come down and he just was a bit heavy handed in trying to persuade it to.

I work in a warehouse... it's not the kind of place you expect to find a glass paneled coffee machine. I'm wondering what kind of fancy pants coffee machines they have up there.

A rather unique take on the rules of football from American second tier side Minnesota United...

Which of course raises the question of just how she knew you were playing with the spreadsheet she wanted.

Has anyone been to mainland Spain? I've got a week off in August and I fancy going to somewhere with a bit of culture, to eat tapas and drink Sangria, see some castles, that kind of thing. I don't want to go to Barcelona as I want to practice my Spanish. I'm thinking Seville. Anyone got any advice?
