Who mentioned Cardiff in the first place anyway?............I know, it must have been a stealth wum.............
...Effectively Tan has total control over all the decision making and assets of the group , and that includes the Stadium.........> And his 3 other clubs he has bought in 3 different countries...
Wasn't glorifying the situation at Cardiff, just responding to crap comments. I only posed a reasonable question about which way you guys saw it going post your stadium expansion. Tan owning our club and consequently our stadium is where we are right now - everything else is irrelevant. If he buys another ten clubs around the world, it's his money so what? I thought this was a decent thread about the proposed expansion of The Liberty. Why has it turned into another mild Swansea/Cardiff ****fest albeit all in good fun? Some you guys sure know how to ruin discussion. Trying to belittle the situation at Cardiff with our current stadium expansion steaming ahead isn't going to get yours off the ground any quicker. If and when it does happen down there, it'll be a good move and the best of luck to you. Keep trying to take the piss out of us if it helps you in the meantime.
The thread would have continued being a discussion about the Liberty if you had managed to hold your tongue and not respond to some light, passing Cardiff humour. I've said it once, I'll say it again, when you're on a Swansea board you have to expect us to have a laugh and a joke about Cardiff, whether we're right or wrong, we like to have a little laugh at your expense. The only reason that this thread is now focusing on Cardiff is because you are here. Simple.
It's not simple at all, that's absolute rubbish. I made a perfectly reasonable post saying it was good news that you had a go ahead date after one of your guys posted the link to it. As it is supposed to be a discussion thread, I asked how the expansion was being paid for and if it was just your club that was footing the bill, then how would that effect the ongoing ownership given the present Council owned/tripartite management company structure. Along comes one of your lot determined to make this thread into an inter-club thing for no reason. It's not a question about "having a laugh and joke about Cardiff" - you can say what you want it's your forum, but expect a reply when someone is posting crap information. If anyone wants to talk about your club without someone from another joining in, I think there's another forum down there that caters for that. Now that's "simple".
That stealth wum tag is starting to stick Im afraid sparky , you.ve paid an absorbenent amount at Cardiff , for having you're owner and I dont mean money ..... but enjoy yourself and paint the town red as his grip around you're neck increases by the day .
Afraid you're right about the stealth wum tag there Breezy - I'll just have to live with that, although at least you know that I'm not....... As far as Vince Tan and his grip around our neck is concerned, I fear you're also right about that - the point is that is where we are at the moment.
Many Swansea people have an inferiority complex when it comes to Cardiff, so just ignore the silly comments. They are mostly very jealous of Cardiff as a city and just can't get over it. Many even come to shop there but then claim the don't like it. Some really odd Swansea people around. The seem to be the majority though. But glad to report that there are many that love Swansea for what it is and don't care about Cardiff. Unfortunately these are in the minority.
The consensus appears that the Swans need this expansion and pretty quickly. The stadium should have been built to accommodate 25,000. But let's look forward. The stadium will hopefully get phase 1 soon with capacity up to 25,000. Surely AM's and the business community should be pushing for a connected Liberty stadium whereby Landore train stop and better links to Swansea centre get addressed. There again the Swansea regeneration blueprint should be stepping up it's ambitions and harnessing private sector and Heritage/Lottery funding to buils a new Mumbles-Swansea-Liberty monorail. Swansea is in a unique location alongside Gower and Mumbles being gateway to West wales, has a unique heritage and has a great chance if regeneration was focused correctly . Why not ? It's time for an economically stronger , 21st century Swansea city centre. Perhaps by the time our extended East Stand comes along a stronger, more integrated regeneration of city will have been agreed on. Enjoy a trip to the capital , and it's a smashing, vibrant centre . The rest of Wales is also quite fascinating
Thanks for the corrections. Reminds me of school - must do better next time. It's true though isn't it. Much as I love Swansea, many people have a real chip on their shoulder regarding Cardiff. I find it a bit sad.
Shouldnt you be talking about stadium expansion in Cardiff on the Championship board plastic .... lol
