got rid of sky sports ages ago ,dont watch a lot of boxing but they started putting the good bouts on pay per view, phoned them and said im paying for sky sports not the not quite top sky sports
I was wondering why the share price fell 10p overnight! I see this as a direct response to the launch of BT sport last year which is free to broadband customers renewing their contract. Since the launch BT has accumulated around 84% of the Broadband market share. They've also won the rights to all UCL coverage from 2015 for 3 seasons. Sky had to make some kind of move and this seems to be it. I fully agree- competition can only be good for the consumer.
Is it good for the consumer though? May well be for Sky customers. Is it another attempt by Sky to grab customers from BT or VM. I'm with VM and have Sky Sports, but who's to say they'll be able to offer SS5 without another price hike. Will have to wait and see on that one, but, I can foresee a long convoluted exchange between Sky and VM on this one. Not bothered myself, as I don't make a point of watching Euro Football, so probably wont make that much of a difference, but, it could for plenty of others.
Am I reading this right, basically all they are offering in addition to now is god awful Dutch football alongside la liga & European matches but all housed under a new name? Hardly setting the world alight is it?
It looks that way. Seem to be moving them all onto one channel. I think it also includes Euro Qualifiers.
Watch our bills creep up a few quid to pay for this **** despite their already generous profit margins. ****s.
I am having their upgrade today. Its "free". I still reckon a letter will soon be received concerning the overall cost of each persons sky package.
There will be some cost to the users eventually though. The bastards. Honestly I may have to consider taking Sky out. I can afford it, I just don't want to. It is now scandalous the monthly bill I get. I feel a Mr Tiote sky dish ripping moment on the horizon.
Streams are ten times better now I have to say. I love most sports is my problem. My good lady would testify to this. I couldn't be hacked with trying to hunt them all down online. Plus its all the other stuff I like too. Sky is a great service, the price is **** though.
ive just done what i do every year, cancel at the end of the season, wait until october when an offer comes through the letterbox for half price whatever for 6 months. no point in having sky sports during the summer IMO.
