Now i wonder if that will alow North Ferriby Utd to take there place as league north runners up ? But a club like Chester may get a reprieve.

Salisbury are also in the same boat. They have until 5pm on thursday to pay what they owe.

That is wrong.imo. The relegated should stay relegated and offer the place to either the PO Final loser/s or highest placed league team who missed out.

But the relegated team wouldn't have been relegated if Hereford were not involved in the season, whereas North Ferriby would still have failed to be promoted.

It is interesting (to me anyway) that clubs who fail to pay their footballing debts can get expelled from the football league, but clubs in the Conference have it harder as they get expelled for failing to pay ANY debts.

Fair point. Maybe a play-off game then to settle the issue would be a better idea ?

From reading this it seems it would have only affected Conference South?

Well as Hereford only stayed up by 2 goals (-19 to -21) the fair minded people would say that Chester deserve to stay up.

Hayes and Yeading Utd FC were relegated from conference south but they now stay up. The woes @ Hereford have been good news for 2 clubs then.

Do they just get demoted then or do they have to re-apply to start again completely from the bottom?

Big shame. Don’t like to see this happen to clubs.

I made it to Edgar Street at least: 1-0 win (Duane Darby) on a Tuesday night.

Hope Hereford manage to claw their way back.

It will be a league under the conference system. Ryman / Calor leagues or worse ? Will Hereford carry on or die ? Shame for the fans as always. So much understandable anger on various message boards about this. Even some Chester fans are sympathetic as they have also been through the whole going bust and re-starting over process.

Made it there in August 76 when they were in Div 2.

Scorchio day, lost one nil, pitch invasion by Hal, stewarding by the SAS.

    Hereford's debt = £148,000 - kicked out the Conference
QPR's debt = £60,000,000 - promoted to the Premier League

    Football's ****ed, yeah?

It was a Dave Dewberry/Parkers pub production. One of his last ever.
