Yes it was Prozzy in the picture. I dont think that Prozzy was all that fussed about going to Barnsley but like Fryatt he needs to be playing. If nobody comes in for him by the start of pre-season then Prozzy will have to knuckle down and show what he can do. It is not his talent that is lacking more his temperament. As i guess that we shall have some international players who will be given extended summer holidays then it is his chance (last chance) to impress. Correct. £5m down with add ons would be more than fair. I see that we have already spent over £1m this summer on the extra payments/add ons with Long - Jelavic - Huddlestone and Davies. Wonga well spent. Agreed ^^^^^ this. Fryatt needs to play and Forest should allow him that chance. Could it be that Bertrand - Amalfitano and Ince will be the first 3 new players to arrive ?? hhhmmmmmm........
Well, that'd be amazing! I don't know why i'm surprised but every player we're linked with is someone who would instantly improve us, in a position we need improvement. Ince would be a brilliant result if we can persuade him. Maybe we tell him Uncle Bruce can give him a lift to training?
Until i hear it from Steve Bruce then that is a silly thing to say. Look, we know you dont like NP but that is nonsense. NP does not come accross as a bad apple or someone who disruptive influence. I am not bothered at all so far at the names that we were linked with but have signed elsewhere. and yes it would be.
I've never met him, so I wouldn't know, but I do know he wasn't allowed back to train with us when he left Barnsley he was told to start his holidays immediately. That suggests to me that we don't want him around the place.
From the worst ITK on the entire internet... IndyKaila News ‏@IndyKailaGroup Unconfirmed: Steve Bruce set to sign new deal with Hull City. #HCAFC
I could see that as far as the end of the season games go for sure. But when pre-season starts and with some of the international players having extended leave then unless SB says otherwise i would expect him back. But for how long is another question.
I think he will come back to clean out his locker and then leave. He will be granted a free transfer. The only thing is, if we release him we will have to pay compensation, which given his wages might be a fair bit.
Im fairly ignorant on how sports betting works. Even states with Indian Casinos do not necessarily have sports betting so I dont know how it really works. Im not sure if the odds are based on the amount of people betting on something or if the odds are based on some actual knowledge.
Yeah it's based on the amount of people betting on it. But sometimes the odds change quickly based on someone in the know sticking loads of money on it, so it becomes a source of knowledge.
Do they also change by recent betting volumes? I ask because even though we have the best odds we are only the 4th highest team that people have bet that he will go. Inter, Monaco, CP are all higher than us and Everton is just about equal with us. That might mean that it isnt just the qty but when bets are made that matter. If not then that might mean that someone did put a large bet down and its the monetary value that makes the big difference and not volume. Or did anything I just try to type out make actual sense?
Yeah it makes sense but I don't understand where you're getting the data from? I didn't think it was in the public domain?
There is a pie chart at the bottom. The clubs with the best odds, us and Everton have the least qty of bets. Unless that isnt what the pie chart means but it does say most popular. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/tom-ince/club-after-summer-transfer-window
It is driven down by the bets that are made. The more wonga that is placed the lower the odds. As an example, You would get massive odds on say Messi signing for Hull City but it would only take one very large bet to vastly reduce the odds regardless of how realistic the transfer might be.
I'm not sure thats right. We were in the favourites to go down for a long time at the start even though all the pie charts (Value of bets) I saw we were hardly a visible slice compared to others.
These posts have absolutely nothing to do with hull city transfers. I await their imminent deletion into the abyss.
Actually in a way they are as we are trying to work out if the odds on Tom Ince mean anything with regard to him becoming a Hull City player.
Think Ellewoods is on about US betting where its like the tote i think. In this country we have bookies who set odds. Pick an outsider with the bookie at 50/1 you get 50 quid and your stake. Stick it on the tote and it depends how many people bet on it determines how much you get back. Sometimes its better backing the favourite on the tote in the hope others have gone for "value" elsewhere.
