The Ox looked beast before he had to go off. I reckon he needs to start against Italy. Hopefully not injured. Barkley too. He just keeps trying to effect the game. Good to see. Back 4 look gash however.

I'd be happy enough with this midfield (switch Gerrard for Lampard) and the back 5 from the previous game starting against Italy. not sure who'd I'd stick up front though

I personally would thing very hard about dropping Rooney. He's struggling. Lets see how he gets on in the last friendly. Sturridge definitely starts for me though. I think Lambert could do a good job with him. He brings others into the game and helps them to play as a TEAM

My team is clear in my head now if Ox is fit. Lets stop pussy footing around and be exciting.

    ------------------------Hart-------------------------
    Johnson---------Cahill----Jagielka----------Baines
    ----------------------Gerrard-----------------------
    ----------Henderson---------Barkley--------------
    Ox------------------Sturridge---------------Sterling

Pace, movement and ball carrying ability. Yeah it leaves a big amound of graft for Henderson and Gerrard to do but I'd rather watch us looking like we might murder someone.

    Chris Smalling? Why Woy, why?

I'd have Sterling and Ox swapping wings, but apart from that DMW's team please <ok>

If Ox is unfit, I suppose Shrek can pop in there.

As it is you know we will leave out Ox, Sterling and Barkley in favour of Milner, Rooney and Welbeck <wah>

They are not tied down mate, there is freedom in my ranks, hippy style. My teamtalk would be "Go where you please man, play which side feels groovy" <laugh>

Anyone have a flutter on it? Every major tournament I usually go for outright winners and top scorer, trying to keep them apart (linked bet's odds diminish). Came closest with a 66/1 on Baros/Portugal at Euro 2004 only for the fcking Greeks to "Chelsea" their way to victory.

This year I'm struggling to see past Aguero/Spain, but doubt I'll get decent odds. Spain's possession game will be critical in those conditions and it's impossible to see them losing to anyone. Argentina's group is ludicrously easy and as Messi never performs for his country, I'll be taking Sergio as his teams top scorer.

I'm on Argentina and Aguero. Singles and a double.

This is a sweet line up. Always got lallana who can come in for ox if he is out. He really showed his intentions of getting in the starting line up the other night though. Big shame if he can't make it.

Could see it happening, though think this will be Messi's World Cup to shine.

Paddy Power have a promo on where, if you put £20 or more on the gooden boot winner (or £10 e/w) you get a free £5 bet for every goal he scores.

I agree. He is pretty fresh after an injury hit season. I think he'll peak just in time. I just think it may be Aguero who benefits.
