No I was standing on The Kop applauding your players with tears in my eyes thinking about all that we (club, players and fans) had gone through that season
That Liverpool side was completely shot before the game even started. I doubt any of them knew what they were doing and even the autopilot was failing.
The nightclub in St Johns precinct I think was originally the Top Rank, after that it had several names including Baileys and Romeo and Juliets [?] Was the Penny Farthing one of the pubs - memory's going .....
We had one of our work do's in the Top Rank, it was an awful place to get in and out of. I remember at the time one of the chart records was Uptown Top Ranking
It was the club the Toxteth boys and girls claimed as their own back then, heavily into soul/reggae. I liked the Moonstone, progressive/classic rock on the jukey.
I'm not from Toccy myself, got family there, but I love my soul and R&B. Not too sure about the reggae, think that was a time and place thing
Music and drugs has a well established link. From Kerouac's Beats, the jazz link Charlie Parker and Thelonius Monk following any path you like, to date.
