just been announced on the OS that we will return to switezerland for pre season. fixtures include FC Biel-Bienne and FC St Gallen. so is anyone intending to go any games?
OMG i am shocked, the club have actually released some news :-O jokes aside, it will be a good workout for the club and surely it can't be any worse than last year?
Is this so Lambert can top up on his chocolate supplies? (This is how sarcasm is supposed to be done!)
Created a post a few weeks ago mentioning this. Already booked up and going. Flying out the Wednesday morning to Zurich, going by train to Bien. Then travelling over to the other side of Switzerland to St Gallen by train. Then flying back from Munich the following Tuesday. All for around £300. Summer holiday sorted.
MikeCloud, "Is this so Lambert can top up on his chocolate supplies? (This is how sarcasm is supposed to be done!) " I think you need to look up sarcasm. Sarcasm involves the suggestion of the opposite to what you really think for example, i might say, " I really want pompey to get promotion next season" or " I really want to get tattoos like that freak Westwood who pisses on seats and rings his bell", or even, " my my, what a lot of sense MikeCloud makes when he comes on the saints board with his ramblings"
I just like the way he's named himself after the year we dicked them in the cup at Fratton Park on our way to the semis and league runners up!
Good commitment for anybody who goes. Not sure what it would take to get me to Switzerland. Katherine Jenkins covered in Lindt maybe...
Since it is unlikely that adkins will be doing much transfer business whilst on the tour this may give an inidcation that we will have one or two signings before going to switzerland. Also he will want to train the team 'together as one' so signings may be likely to happen before the tour.
So still no news on whether Saints are going to play English teams (apart from Liebherr Cup) So...playing pre-season teams outside of England - Is that advantage/disadvantage IMO - If we only play 1 English Team (Liebherr Cup) then for me this won't be great prep going into the new season.
