Disagree mate if the club respected him and thought he was so good, why let his contract run down so much?
I feel very bitter, angry and sad tonight as I feel that our great club has been "shafted" by a combination of Colback and his agent!!Did they intend this outcome from twelve months ago...sit it out and sign for the mags, get a few quid as a signing-fee and f**k the club that has nurtured him??I was one of his fans on this forum, and stuck-up for him!Not any more.....the ginger-haired bar-steward!!!
Facts are the club invested a lot of money in the lad, and he indicated he would sign, they offered what he wanted and he walked for supposedly an extra 5k a week. He's gone now anyway, he can be average for you ****ers
Clubs invest a lot of money in every single player, if you let someone's contract run down to the final 6-12 months without making them an offer, then can't match the wages offered by someone else, the company only have themselves to blame. Anyway I have nothing more to say on Colback, he will be gone soon enough without a meaningful impact in any game I should imagine. This will all be forgotten just as quickly as it happened.
We offered him a contract, but if it's true that you are paying him 40k a week, then I'm ****ing delighted we didn't match it. 40k a week for 6 ****ing years? Somebody didn't learn from Pardew's 8 year affair.
Why the hell did he not go to WHU ?, more money and a London club. He did a good job, but not attack minded enough for me, Gomez is an excellent replacement. He will get a warm reception coming here next season !
My take on this sad situation is that all involved, player, agent, new club, have waited until he turned 24 thereby avoiding a transfer fee which now goes to the player spread over a 5 year contract. All teams need a player of Colback's versatility but the hardes part to take for me is the backhanded way everything has been done.

Bang ****ing average at best. Seems like neither he nor newcastle have any ambition, he will not improve them at all, let him take the money and rot. Oh and '**** the mags'.
You just want to believe that .......... in reality the buying club isn't the issue in that statement, something you ignore to build your argument. BTW, stop pretending you'll be booing Colback before every match, you know it won't happen, you're just puffing yourself up.
