Without giving any spoilers away was GOT's any good? I think its usually this episode in each series that is the really good one. If it is a must watch then I will watch it after my night shift if not then straight to zzzzz.

Hard to say without spoiling anything. It's a good episode, but then they're all good episodes. It's different, I'll give you that much.

He's retired so he could watch any episode off a DVD any time of the day or night..! If it was me I just wouldn't do it. I mean, I have DVDs of films and things, and they get repeated on TV, and I just turn over the channel or turn the telly off. If I've seen it start on the telly and I suddenly think, yeah, I'd love to watch that, I get the DVD out. After all, I'm in control of that. If I want a coffee or sandwich or want to go for a pee, I just pause it. And no adverts either. Isn't that obvious, logical thing to do..? :)

Thanks for the heads-up** earlier, Q. I trust your old instinct. :) Got to leave you though. I'm off to bed. 2.30am and gone here.

Baffling. Considering Stargate, Babylon5 etc, all ran for so long.

What goes around, comes around Tom. I'm sure it'll be recognised and worth it in the long run.

Nearly as tragic as Revolution ending so soon. They could have at least extended it by a series had they killed off either one or both of Charlie and her mother.

Interesting case. "Mountain man" who's been living off the land in Utah given ten years in jail for burglary and firearm offences. Cool way to live, if you take away the breaking into people cabins part.

Well, that's all the excitement that can be handled in one day. It might not quite be Joe's story, but here's my offering.

Are we sitting comfortably? Then I will begin...

I'm sat upstairs playing some Football Manager, and the door goes. I go downstairs and my neighbour, who is in her 60s, is looking depressed. She's locked herself out. She somehow couldn't get into the house, despite having the keys, because the door wouldn't open. So she's asking to borrow a step-ladder. I don't have a step-ladder, but I do have a big red ladder. I bring the big red ladder out. She then realises she hasn't opened any windows.

So now, it's to the back garden of our house. I trudge all the way back through with the ladder, and set it up against the brick wall.

I climb up the ladder and sit on the top of the wall. For some reason, I don't know why, she has rough chicken mesh and some sort of barbed wire for about five foot on the other side. The decking is five or six foot away. I consider jumping before realising that there is a canopy above the decking, and I'd almost certainly knock myself out if I jumped.

So now, there's me, swinging out to grab onto the canopy, climb on top of it and try to get a window to open. The smallest window possible opens. Joy.

I'm now climbing through the small window, almost getting stuck and knocking everything off the mantelpiece on the other side.

I go downstairs and the door is not locked. However, there is a plastic pulley for her blinds stuck in the door - again, no idea how. It won't budge, not a chance.

So now I go all the way back up the stairs, out the small window, onto the canopy roof, swing over to the wall, climb down to the ladder, get down into my own garden and have to go out the front of the house with her, to somehow get the door open. I take a short run at it with my shoulder, but it doesn't budge. Again, it doesn't budge.

So now there's her, egging me on to kick the door in (I've always wanted to do this due to those bailiff shows), and with two big kicks, the door is open!

Huzzah! But no, I now get the dirtiest look possible from the other neighbour opposite, out of her bay window.

2 minutes later the neighbour I helped pops round and offers payment, which I refuse, before thrusting three Magnum ice creams into my hand and running off.

    All in a day's work..

Nice one, DTLW. I once had to break into my own house as I'd shut the front door with the key still indoors. So I climbed into a bedroom window and sorted myself out with tea, after my exertions. Shortly after the Police arrived accusing me of breaking in. I made it slightly worse for everyone by admitting that I had. They stayed for the story and a quick cuppa..
