    Among the people I'm speaking to, Hockaday is still not being ruled out. But Cellino seems to have a very high opinion of Dolan.

    BREAKING: Leeds United are very close to appointing Reading FC academy manager Eamonn Dolan as their new head coach, according to YEP journalist Phil Hay.

    Dolan is in the running for the Leeds job
    However, the deal is yet to be completed as Leeds ownerMassimo Cellino is currently in Italy sorting out the sale of Serie A side Cagliari.Cellino has not completely ruled out Dave Hockaday or Gary McAllister for the manager’s job, however Dolan is thought to be in pole position for the job at the Yorkshire club.Reading have refused to comment on the rumours linking their academy manager with a move away from the club, further fuelling the speculation that the deal will go through.Dolan is the clear bookmakers favourite to take the helm atElland Road, with Sky Bet pricing him as low as 1/10 to take the job at the Championship club.

    He needs to start his tenure by telling the fans how great they are, splash a few quid on a round of drinks at a preseason friendly and that will earn him undying love from a whole bunch, specially on twitter

    So Hay reads skybet puts 2 and 2 together and writes an article,which lets face it mighty or TC could have done the same.
    If he gets appointed,I will give him time,but hardly inspiring is it?
    Or maybe MrC is saving the cash for the signings?
    <cheers>

    Just been reading Dolans Wikipedia

    He was a low scoring striker, started at the top east London club West Ham and drifted down to Exeter where he had cancer and switched into non playing jobs. That was 20 years ago, most positive thing I read about his management was he stabilised Exeter after being relegated but they missed the play offs

    Don't know how the illness played out but has not set the world alight
