Is "done one" really a respectful way of breaking the news of a geniuses death? Have a word. RIP Rik, a truly great comic.
He was in a coma for five days and it was over Easter, he later pointed out that he'd made it back two days quicker than Jesus.
RICK: MIKE, YOU BASTARD! Why didn't you buy a license? I can't go to prison! I'm too pretty! I'll get raped! R.I.P
I don't think I could choose one particular episode of Bottom. Same for New Statesman and Comic Strip. If I had to pick an episode of The Young Ones it would either be the bomb episode or the party episode. I think the WW1 Flashheart was the superior one too. Though to be fair I preferred Blackadder Goes Forth to Blackadder II anyways.
"I suppose you think it's pretty weird, don't you Mike? Well, you'd be right. 'Cause THAT'S the kind of guy I am, right? WEIRD. Which is why I go over people's heads. A bit like an aeroplane! You think I'm an aeroplane, don't you, Mike? Well, I'm not."
"I feel sorry for you, you zeros! You nobodys! What's going to live on after you die? Nothing! That's what! This house will become a shrine, and punks and skins and rastas will all gather round and hold their hands in sorrow for their fallen leader. And all the grown-ups will say, 'But why are the kids crying?' And the kids will say, 'Haven't you heard? Rick is dead! The People's Poet is dead!' And then one particularly sensitive and articulate teenager will say, 'But kids, do you understand nothing? How can Rick be dead when we still have his poems?'" please log in to view this image
