Jennifer Lopez has pulled out of performing at the opening ceremony citing production issues. Might as well call the whole thing off now.

 

With my manager hat on, I actually find that slightly more interesting than I should do really. Curious with still 3 days to go.

 

It's J-Lo, so "production issues" in this case can probably be translated to "being a massive diva bitch". Maybe they won't let her mime or something. Or the complementary fruit basket in her hotel room was insultingly small.

It'd be adding insult to injury in amazing fashion if J-Lo came out dressed as a crude Brazilian stereotype, performing a song which has not gone down well in Brazil due to being horribly generic, not reflecting Brazilian culture at all, and being sung largely in English and Spanish. Perhaps Pitbull could come out in drag as well.

 

You're going to enjoy the opening ceremony then! Surely with or without Ms Lopez, it's going to be terrible.

 

I don't know what time it starts, but I might not make it home from work in time to catch it all.

Just been looking through the fixture list for games I'm going to miss due to being 5pm weekday kickoffs. Germany v Portugal is an annoying one to miss, and Italy v Costa Rica, Holland v Chile, and most frustratingly, the final day of our group. Unless I just take a day off.
