Redknapp had the last laugh on the fans slating the old codgers when Dunne, Green and Zamora won you promotion so while I understand you wanting youth, you also have to remember Redknapp will sign players for the present, not some flawed long term plan which results in you getting relegated in a year or two, but instead having a team each year to stay in the premier league.

Plus these players will respect and play for Redknapp, they won't be allowed to just come for a pay day and not put in effort.

Or you can go with the young players who are hopeless for a good portion of the season. Risk involved in all signings so better to trust a manager who has taken Tottenham, West Ham and Portsmouth to their highest premier league finishes by signing his players, and heres one stat for people, to blow the myth Arry over spends.

In his career (overall) total transfers spent is 226 million. Total outcome 230 million.

I know what you're saying Boss and I agree with you/Redknapp to a certain extent. However, we seen two years ago the damage that can be done to team morale at a small Club when having achieved something together, some are tossed aside for some big time Charlies who perhaps don't put the same effort in but are on 3 or 4 times the wages they are. Its absolutely toxic to a dressing room and ultimately the football club. Mark Hughes almost single-handedly destroyed QPRFC in the space of about 12 months. 96 million quid debt for a little Club like ours? Had we not come back up this year, who knows what might have happened.

I'd steer well clear of Ferdinand (the way his brother behaved here notwithstanding) and any other former great on his way out.

I think this story is bullsh*t anyway to be honest.

I get why you would have this view and yes the story is likely to be BS anyway, as the press will link every player to Arry (and QPR) just because they know it makes a good story, we already have fans taking the piss out of Arry for going after Rio! it creates headlines and drives traffic to these sites.....

But even if true, Redknapp is a genuine guy and isn't going to shaft your club, he is nearing the end of his own career and isn't here for a ride, he could have walked away from the game but instead wants to repay QPR for giving him a chance when few other clubs would, and will ensure you remain in the top flight so if he signs one of these "former greats" or OAP's! then you can be sure its because they can still do a job and won't cause any problems.

Nice words but I'm afraid undermined by our BAE experience.

One loan signing which was hit and miss can't be the focus, can it? especially as it never stopped you reaching your target of promotion.

I heard he's planning on pairing him with Terry in the centre...

    ...wouldn't that be jolly?
