C 1939 I also note on the Rolling Rock bottle, so it's obviously been around for a while. Dos Equis (a poor man's Corona), also made in Mexico, gets equally poor reviews. When you consider all the issues surrounding water quality, would you really want to drink beer made from a Mexican water source given all kinds of contaminated items there are routinely being broken up and secretly disposed of? You may be right Kilburn although I'm not sure why a poor man would buy a beer more expensive than Corona. Dos Equis is owned by Molsoncoors so I would think they are a little concerned about the water in their beer. I dont drinl it myself. I prefer Sam Adams, Smithwicks or Newcastle Brown. A cold beer of any sort in the Summer days of 90 plus here goes down a treat no matter what the brand.
Ha! I suggest you go back and visit a few micro breweries, there are thousands of them. Making some decent stuff, my major problem with them is that some are too strong for my taste, a lot of 6/7%+ stuff. I've been to the US dozens of times over the last few years and I don't think I've ever drunk a Bud or Rolling Rock. Samuel Adams is a good, easily available thirst quencher, if nothing local is available.
