Morning fromage-chomping Quislings! P.S. Fishing is about communing with nature. Oh, and getting p*ssed.
I am an engineer and I have been over here about 6 times? Moving a plant from one place in us to this ****ehole It's too far north for red necks and there was 40 feet of snow this winter it was -14 degrees in celcius here as well In short I hate the place. I've a guy turning up today who's not bothered and was doing an interview last Friday to get the hell out to look at product quality and he's a geek, a cheap as geek which is worse! This is my last trip at least
The biology of pain and pain interpretation is very complex. From what I've seen, if it does 'hurt' the fish then, in most cases, it isn't that badly. They don't often exhibit 'stress behaviour'. I'm not a big fisherman, myself, (did it a bit in my teens) but you sound like you dislike the practice. So, just for you, a quote: -------- Samuel Johnson (attributed).
Fish are only worth catching if you're actually going to eat the ****ers, as in sea fishing. I don't hold with dragging them out of dirty canals and chucking them back in. #****ingpointless
Haha. I have my opinions on a lot of things that I don't necessarily express on here. Any controversial subject can start another dispute like the religion one. Nobody wins these arguments so it's pointless just slagging off each other's opinion, in my opinion. Controversial subjects need to be discussed carefully, and with mutual respect, and this is hardly the right arena for that. Have we signed anyone else yet?
i think someone (else) should do an ot fishing good or bad thread. am not going to go fishing but this is a big fishing/hunting area and we are quite close to lake superior here (can dine on the lake and view the lovely nuclear power plant and the sunset across the water... (us morons) After that really not much point going fishing on my tod and i don't like it either.
I would never slag someone's opinion off, Saint, I hope you realise that. However, I usually react if people misuse or incorrectly interpret science (at least if they are reasonable and will listen - some will not!). I don't really see fishing as a controversial topic, TBH. But I respect your reticence to elaborate. I can see why some people think this, though.
no idea saint never been to the US sadly, i know they have them down south, but not sure where mito is. if he is near a lake, must be something he can do apart from fish lol.
Not big on geography, then? Fair enough. He said Lake Superior -that's on Canadian USA border. Crocs like it hot.
Crocs mostly known for being in Africa, Asia and Australia; America's mostly known for their Alligators and Caimans.
The psychology of pain is perhaps easier for me. When it's hurting then its ****ing hurting but I'm still living. When it's not hurting then I'm not too sure if I'm living or not. When I'm throwing up I'm keeping the nurses employed. Ain't life fun. Very soon I have the joyous delight of watching others eat whilst I'm nil by mouth - ****!!!
