http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ach-free-agent-Rio-Ferdinand-Loftus-Road.html Offered a one year deal on 80k a week apparently. If this happens I would seriously question if we learned anything from last time as Rio is an ageing injury prone player in over inflated wages, here's hoping it's just paper talk......
If need be, I can handle Rio joining us on a one year deal but never can I or will I accept wages, anywhere near 80K. Half that at best but still rather pass on him ................ he won't have the desire, why should he ..................... he's done it all with MU. We mean nothing to him but a pay cheque for 12 months. Besides, he'll probably push for two years.
Williams would be an ideal signing for us. Strong and motivated good defender who has proved his level. Rio on the other hand is nothing of those and probably would be bosingwa mk 2.... We have had two Ferdinands (who both by coincidence went to turkey!) already. First one was superb after came back from turkey to us but the second one could have left earlier and Rio should go to straight to turkey.
offer him 50000 for every game he completes 90 minutes or no pay no pay while he is out injured see if he wants to come then
I was about to say, £20k per week, £30k per 90 minute appearance (pro-rata) and £10k clean sheet bonus. If he accepts that deal, I wouldn't complain too much.
We should be offering lower basic wages with massive bonuses to stay up as that becomes self-funding then.
I thought Tony had scotched this. In every game I saw in which he played Ferdinand was a liability this season, some truly hilarious cock ups. Almost as good as his brother. And why would he come to us when we (the fans) gave little Anton such stick?
Sure mate, the guys' got talent ................... it's just whether he wants to get serious and share it with us. For the right dollars, he could be value but the package needs to be in our favor, not his.
Did you see Del Piero playing in the charity game last night Wubba? I'd have him and Seedorf still.....
Unfortunately I didn't as was on One Direction drop off/pick up duty at Wem-ber-ley. I did do the OBZ chant as I dropped my daughter off. Lost I suspect on the throng. Did the so called charity match involve Robbie Williams? If so then I would have paid good money to miss it Del Piero? Yes please if only to justify putting his name on the back of a hooped shirt
With Hill and Dunne possibly in their last seasons, surely we need a 25 - 28 yo CB to develop with Ned ?? We dont need a stop-gap aging CB on his last paycheck
