lol you are clearly a huge ****wit. I've heard his name sung at every single game since CTWD started up.
Hardly. Not even close in fact. Ash was ours throughout the majority of his career, good times and bad, he coulda gone and played elsewhere I imagine if he wanted to. He chose not to. He deserves the tag "City Legend", Nick does not. Nick is simply "previously great player who retired close to home who discovered the hard way he didn't have the right temperament for management". Passion, even the short fuse, you can get away with as a footballer, you simply cannot as a manager, not a new one. Look, I know he's your mate, or something, and you think he's akin to a god and we should have a statue of him, so I've said my piece, I'm not getting into an argument over it with you.
I don't think he's a god and I don't think he got enough of a chance as manager for anyone to accurate gauge his ability as one(he wasn't allowed to buy a single player), I was just talking about him as a player.
Are football fans (especially modern) fickle, yes or no? Never read so much drivel from City fans for a long time. Aside from the OP question regarding if Pearson should return or not. Any City fan of 10 years or more who has derided the achievements of Pearson from taking over a club that was struggling at the foot of the 4th tier to a reasonably stable 2nd tier team takes the term 'fickle football fan' to new heights! During his time the club went from administration to worth £12 million, moved to the KC (in partnership with HCC and HullFC - sucessful partnerships and joint ventures are usually a reasonable sign of good business acumen, rather than isolation Mr Allam!). City had two promotions and gates where averaging over 18,000. Pearson was passionate about City and in the early dates operated out of a portacabin. Anyone who has set up a business of their own will tell you how much determination and graft it takes to start from nothing and make it grow. That is what he did with City. If he made a few quid, good luck to him. We all benefited from his tenure and yet only a few years later these achievements have been belittled. All because many have got comfy in the big boys league. Sums up football fans I suppose!
Right OK I'll rephrase. Pearson was the only chairman we've had whose name was sung by the fans in a positive context. While Allam, along with most of the other chairmen we've had in my lifetime, is frequently subject to criticism from the stands. Or 'disobedience' as Chazz once called it.

When Duffen left we where third from bottom with 8 points from 10 games. It's been documented that the sacking of Brown wasn't Pearson's decision. He did the best he could in a impossible situation. Pearson also was the one who suggested Nigel Pearson who stopped the club going into free flow. Who happen to sign the likes of Rosenior, Chester, Hobbs, Fryatt,, Evans, Koren and Brady who have been vital in the last two and the one's who have left have made a profit. Nearly put us out of business couldn't be further from the truth. He also trimmed the wage bill massively and was the first to make contact with Allam's
