Cheick Tiote Dives Into Crowd When Sees Newcastle Fans At Ivory Coast Match

Cheick Tiote has reminded us yet again of what a decent bloke he is.

So many players do so little these days, it is easy to just brand them all as egotistical over indulged prima donnas, which is why real men like Cheick need to be appreciated.

Playing for the Ivory Coast this week in Dallas, Cheick Tiote ignored security staff and hurdled the barriers to meet US based fans, and members of Toon Army Dallas; which included Cheryl Moon, Jason ‘Squid’ Oliver and Steve Hunter.

Tiote spoke to the fans and signed their flag & shirts, with the fans taking the opportunity to also hand Cheick the Player Of The Year award from Toon Army Dallas.

Love Cheick. His dedication to the course since joining us has been unwavering. When you consider what goes on in the background, that is refreshing. Certainly the likes of Marveaux, HBA etc could all learn something from him. He is not from Newcastle, but he gives the club everything he has in terms of dedication, effort and time. Too many footballers simply take from football clubs now and forget to give back. You certainly can not accuse him of that.

That was a decent thing he done there...It's just a pity that he is a disgrace to humanity when he is on the pitch...

You wouldn't, on further reflection, say that was a little OTT perhaps?

Nice one Cheick! Good bit of international relations there. I think footballers in general should get back to doing more of this. They are too divorced from the fans who put the money into the game.

I agree that Tiote is a player you would want in your team ,but it is understandable that Sunderland fans will remember his Oscar winning performance to have Sess (All 5ft off him ) sent off for flattening him with one hand
